Kate Pryde, pirate captain and Red Queen of the Hellfire Trading Company. Answers to Kitty if you knew her when she was younger. Kind of a disaster, but in a good way: hard-drinking, hard-fighting, and here for mutant rights.

For crosscanon CR:
I absolutely LOVE crosscanon of all kinds, and I'm always happy to adjust to make things work! I can AU Kate into your character's canon, or you can AU your character into current mutant nonsense.
"Current mutant nonsense" is, in a nutshell, "There's a mutant nation called Krakoa and most mutants live there, and THAT'S never gone badly before, so I'm sure things will be Great Forever. Also there's stuff happening on Mars and Wolverine lives on the moon with Scott and Jean. There's a pretty good bar??? Kate mostly tools around on the ocean because she's The Only Mutant who can't use silly magic gates to travel to and from the island - she has to get there the long way."
What a Kate AU might look like really depends on the canon - but if you're tolerant of "for weird-shit reasons that may or may not be explained, this bitch can walk through walls" kinds of explanations, then we are in BUSINESS. I'm happy to adjust her time and place and just about everything else, but I do want to keep her mutation if possible.
As far as types of crosscanon CR go, I'm open to trying anything once! That said, if you play a pirate, come at me. She probably won't know your character, but there's a good chance I will.
For canon CR:
As a general rule, I'm always somewhere between caught up and within the last 6 months of X-Men continuity. It's totally fine if you aren't! But I'm only interested in playing Kate from post-Hickman canon (specifically Duggan's Marauders series), so just keep in mind that her status quo involves a lot of sailing, life on a tropical island, and messy interactions with Sebastian Shaw. We can handwave a time warp or a jamjar setting if that'd make bridging the gap between canon points easier!
Fair warning: I haven't read all of Kate's older material, though I've read some. I'm most conversant with the last 15-20 years of canon and tend to prefer comics from ~2010 onwards. If I'm not familiar with your character or Kate's relationship with them, I'll ask you for some deets + go check out the wiki.
